How We Make Money

Affiliate links. Some links to tools may become affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. A tool never gets a better write-up because it has an affiliate program.

Sponsor slots. The Build of the Week and the featured shop slot may each carry one paid sponsor. A paid slot is always labeled “Sponsored.” Sponsors do not edit build pages.

Build pages. Costs, results and failures come from the operator’s records. Money does not change what a build page says, and a sponsor cannot buy the Verified mark.
